| The nonpartisan Cook Political Report shifted Minnesota’s 1st District in Democrats’ direction – the latest sign that Brad Finstad faces the toughest race of his political career.
In part, Cook writes how Democrats “managed to keep pace with [Finstad’s] fundraising” and that Amy Klobuchar, who won MN-01 in her 2024 re-election bid, “should carry this seat, providing some coattails.”
This “agriculture-heavy seat” has been pounded by reckless tariffs and the Iran War, and is “home to the Mayo Clinic” and “swing-y Winona County,” terrain Democrats are expected to be competitive in as Finstad raises prices and guts health care.
