| Nonpartisan race-rater Cook Political Report just moved Ohio’s 15th District in Democrats’ direction — the latest sign that voters are ready to flip the district after Mike Carey’s votes against Ohioans’ interests.
In part, Cook writes:
- The underlying trends in this district, which includes the rapidly growing suburbs of Columbus, look promising for Democrats.
- House Majority PAC commissioned a Hart Research poll in July that showed Democrats leading the generic ballot in the district by three points.
- But like Turner, Carey may need to run ahead of the top of the ticket to hold his seat.
DCCC Spokesperson Riya Vashi:
“Alarm bells are ringing for Mike Carey, who will be held accountable for his record of gutting health care, raising prices, supporting reckless tariffs that are decimating the economy, and refusing to face his constituents. Carey is more vulnerable than ever and will lose this November. |
