| Cook Political just moved Iowa’s 2nd congressional district in Democrats’ direction.
The ratings change comes after Ashley Hinson is leaving IA-02 as a competitive open seat.
DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
“Momentum is on our side in Northeast Iowa. As Republicans stare down a chaotic primary full of infighting about who will best cater to Washington special interests, voters are seeing that business-as-usual isn’t working for them. We’re going to flip this seat because Iowans are ready for new leadership who will take real action to get costs down and put Iowa first.”
REMINDER: Last month, Iowa Democrats won a special election in a Trump +11 Iowa state senate district – an overperformance of 22 points for Democrats. This is the FOURTH straight Democratic overperformance in Iowa legislative special elections this year. |
