| Non-partisan race rater Inside Elections just shifted Florida’s 16th Congressional District in Democrats’ direction – the latest sign that voters are ready to reject Sydney Gruters’ cost-raising agenda and flip this seat.
The ratings change comes after Gruters admitted she chose to skip her party’s midterm convention last week despite the fact her own husband organized it – a clear indication she’s running away from her party’s wildly unpopular record that’s crushing Floridians.
Inside Elections writes in part that “polling suggests that race is tight. On paper, this seat is only slightly more Republican than the 13th and 22nd districts, where Democrats also have opportunities.”
DCCC Spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre:
“Floridians are sick and tired of Gruters-backed policies making their lives more expensive. Polling shows this race is squarely in play and momentum is on our side to flip this seat in November.” |
