The NRCC has quietly removed their flailing top recruit in NY-19 from their ‘MAGA Majority’ program
In a stunning and unprecedented move, the NRCC has quietly removed NY-19 GOP candidate Peter Oberacker from its “MAGA Majority” program. This comes hours after the Congressional Leadership Fund abruptly yanked its ad reservations from NY-19 — a complete and total abandonment of a battleground nominee that has rarely been seen before in the history of the NRCC program.
Last month, bombshell reporting exposed Oberacker for saluting his Nazi grandfather, who served under Adolf Hitler, in a since-deleted social media post. Follow-up reporting revealed Oberacker named the bar in his basement “The Chamber.” Instead of apologizing, Oberacker doubled down and defended his grandfather’s military service for Nazi Germany.
REMINDER:Oberacker’s campaign has been flailing since day one, after he lied to Upstate voters in his launch video, claiming to be “born and raised” in Upstate when he was actually born over 200 miles away on Long Island.
