| Today, the Cook Political Report announced that it is shifting its prediction for Florida’s 7th Congressional District towards Democrats, building on growing momentum and setting the stage for a competitive election in 2026.
Cook Political Report noted Cory Mills’ litany of scandals including domestic violence allegations and a new House Ethics investigation.
REMINDER: Last month, Inside Elections also shifted their rating for FL-07 towards Democrats citing Mills’ numerous vulnerabilities. That shift followed an embarrassing underperformance for House Republicans in a special election that saw them spend $3.3 million only to underperform in a Trump +22 district by 13 points – a margin that puts Florida’s 7th Congressional District squarely in play.
