| Today, Cook Political Report shifted its rating for Florida’s 22nd District towards working mom and educator Pia Dandiya as voters continue to struggle under the weight of rising costs.
In a district that voted for Trump by 10.5 points in 2024, Dandiya is leading Casey Askar in the polls. That’s due in part to “anti-Trump backlash among Hispanic voters,” who number nearly a third of voters.
Askar’s own shady record isn’t making things easier: “Askar… has a history of questionable business practices,” including being “sued by former employees for denying them full wages.” Askar has sold out Florida’s working families and they haven’t forgotten.
The shift comes just three days after Fox Power Rankings updated its own rankings in Dandiya’s favor.
