| Today, independent race rater Cook Political Report updated its rating for Florida’s 27th District, as Maria Elvira Salazar desperately tries to run from her own unpopular record of failures and broken promises.
According to the analysis, “backlash among Hispanic voters toward the Trump administration has forced her to play defense,” with polling showing her “neck-and-neck” with her Democratic challenger.
The bad news is piling up for Salazar: Cook Political Report is now the fourth race rater to shift its ranking toward Democrats in the past two weeks alone, joining Inside Elections, Sabato’s Crystal Ball, and Fox News Power Rankings.
