| Today, independent race rater Cook Political Report shifted North Carolina’s 11th District in Jamie Ager’s favor, yet another sign that Western North Carolinians are lining up for change. NC-11 is officially a toss-up race.
Cook Political Report noted that Jennifer Balkcom’s history of shady dealings, including when she “[took] campaign contributions from Duke Energy and [then voted] ‘to cut costs for corporations like Duke,’” is quickly losing voters’ trust.
While Balkcom is focused on padding her campaign coffers, Ager is winning support for focusing on the issues that matter to voters, like “the lack of federal relief for western North Carolina in the wake of Hurricane Helene.”
The race for one of the most competitive districts in the country is shaping up for Jamie Ager.
