| Independent race rater Cook Political Report updated its rating for Texas’ 15th District in Bobby Pulido’s favor, as Monica De La Cruz wreaks havoc on the Texas economy. TX-15 is officially a toss-up race.
According to Cook Political Report’s analysis, “De La Cruz has struggled to consolidate support from Republicans and conservative-leaning independents,” while “Pulido’s status as a celebrity in the Valley… has allowed him to win over more cross-party support.”
Republicans’ own gerrymandering scheme also isn’t working in De La Cruz’s favor: 60% of the district is new to De La Cruz. From her support of cost-rising tariffs to harsh immigration enforcement tactics, it’s clear voters aren’t liking what they’re seeing from De La Cruz.
