| Independent race rater Cook Political Report updated its rating for Texas’ 35th District as Deputy Sheriff Johnny Garcia continues to win cross-party support from Texans looking for an end to the cost-of-living crisis.
Hispanic voters, who make up more than half of the district, are giving up the Republican Party in droves, flashing alarm bells for political nepo baby De La Cruz.
The update comes on the heels of Inside Elections’ own ratings shift towards Garcia, showing the momentum is clearly on his side.
