100 DAYS OUT: DCCC, DNC, and DSCC Chairs Join MSNBC to Discuss Democrats’ Momentum Up and Down The Ballot

Today, DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene, DSCC Chair Gary Peters, and DNC Chair Jaime Harrison joined MSNBC’s The Weekend to discuss Democrats’ momentum and message with 100 days to go till Election Day.

Democrats up and down the ballot are drawing a strong contrast between Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans’ extreme Project 2025 and our focus on lowering costs, defending reproductive rights, and investing in working families. With this forward-looking agenda and historic levels of support, Democrats are well-positioned to retake the House, defend the Senate, and elect Kamala Harris as president in November.

Watch some of the conversation with Chair DelBene, Chair Harrison, and Chair Peters HERE.

“The contrast couldn’t be more clear this election. This is about our rights, our freedoms, our democracy and our future […] And you know, Donald Trump said that folks aren’t going to have to vote again after this election too. That tells you where they’re at,” said DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene. “So we need to make sure we’re reminding folks what Republicans stand for, that they want to take away our rights and our freedoms. They want to undermine our democracy, and we’re going to talk to them about what that means, Project 2025, because when we talk to folks and we have that discussion with them, when we talk about candidates, and we talk about the things that people care about, moving our country forward, addressing affordability, standing up for reproductive freedom, they absolutely are with us.”

“I give Joe Biden and Kamala Harris credit for this — because they have been the President and Vice President who have leaned into investing in the infrastructure of our Democratic Party,” said DNC Chair Jaime Harrison. “Part of how we beat back the red wave is because we built an infrastructure in our state parties to equip them […] to be able to have that grassroots operation, to win the close elections […] and I’m telling folks don’t sleep on Florida, don’t sleep on North Carolina, because we are going to have the boots on the ground to win [another] one of those tight, close elections.”

“[Senate races are] really about candidate quality, and that’s why we continue to see [Democratic] Senate candidates doing very well against their Republican opponents,” said DSCC Chair Gary Peters. “We are right on the issues. And quite frankly, you see a lot of these Republican candidates are flawed and oftentimes deeply flawed so when you put that contrast against each other, it puts us in a very good position.”
