Just days before the primary, Paul Junge and Matthew Seely – the two out-of-touch carpetbaggers trying to buy a seat in Michigan’s Eighth Congressional District – are each facing more than half a million dollars in campaign debt. Both candidates now have more debt than cash on hand even before the Republican primary is over.
Junge and Seely’s weak Q2 fundraising paired with heavy campaign debt prove that whoever makes it out of the primary will be woefully unprepared to face Rep. Dan Kildee and his $3.1 million war chest.
“Paul Junge and Matt Seely have two things in common: they both are out-of-touch carpetbaggers with no ties to the district they’re trying to buy, and they’re both racking up debt as they struggle to clear their primary,” said DCCC Spokesperson Elena Kuhn. “No matter which weak and toxic candidate makes it to the general, they’re already on track to lose to Dan Kildee in November.”
