It’s now been two weeks since LoHud broke the news that Mike Lawler’s deputy district director, Erin Crowley, allegedly posed under a false identity to infiltrate a private Signal chat group of political opponents.
And still — not one word about it from Mike Lawler.
But pressure is building from both Republicans and Democrats in NY-17 demanding that Lawler provide an explanation to his constituents. The longer Lawler hides, the clearer it becomes that he’s banking on silence and distraction — hoping voters won’t notice that one of his staffers allegedly helped orchestrate the same chaos he decried on national television.
DCCC Spokesperson Riya Vashi:
“Mike Lawler’s refusal to address this scandal isn’t just cowardly…it’s disqualifying. Hudson Valley voters deserve better than a spineless liar who can’t even show up and answer for his own staffer’s alleged actions.” |
