22 Million Face Skyrocketing Premium Costs Thanks to Mike Lawler

Mike Lawler and House Republicans have “no plans” to actually extend Affordable Care Act tax credits that help more than 22 million Americans afford coverage.

Without action, families will see their premiums spike by as much as 50 percent next year. For hardworking Lower Hudson Valley families, that means paying thousands more or losing health insurance altogether.

First, Lawler and House Republicans enacted the largest cut to Medicaid in history so they could give tax breaks to their billionaire friends. Now, with lifesaving ACA tax credits set to expire by the end of the year – they’re brushing aside voters’ concerns and refusing to extend the credits, no matter the cost.

DCCC Spokesperson Riya Vashi:
“While hardworking families are bracing for crushing premium hikes, Mike Lawler is doing what he always does — playing politics when Hudson Valley families’ health care is on the line. Voters see through the gimmicks. They know Lawler will never stand up for them when it matters most.”
