| Today, Congressman Burgess Owens of Utah became the 33rd House Republican to announce their retirement during the 119th Congress.
In 2018, when Democrats won 41 seats to take back the House, 34 House Republicans had retired.
Republicans are fleeing to the exits, including in districts the DCCC is targeting like AZ-01, IA-02, KY-06, MI-10, MT-01, NE-02, and SC-01.
