7 DAYS OF SILENCE: Mike Lawler Still Refuses To Answer For SignalGate Scandal

Politico on Lawler’s prior warnings of “chaotic scenes” at town hall: “Lawler did not reveal that one of his own staffers would allegedly be part of the organized disruption.”

It’s been a full week since LoHud broke the news that Mike Lawler’s deputy district director, Erin Crowley, allegedly infiltrated a private Signal chat group of political opponents under a false identity — and Lawler still refuses to address a single question about it.

Amid calls for answers and accountability from both Republicans and Democrats in NY-17, Lawler has stayed silent: dodging reporters, stonewalling constituents, and hoping that voters in the district will simply forget that his aide allegedly helped fuel the chaos he publicly condemned.

Meanwhile, new reporting from Politico reveals that Lawler told Fox News he was concerned about “astroturfing” and “organized efforts to create chaotic scenes” prior to his town hall… he just failed to mention that “one of his own staffers would allegedly be part of the organized disruption.”

DCCC Spokesperson Riya Vashi:
“Mike Lawler eagerly ran to Fox News to attack his own constituents for opposing him — but now that reports show his own staff member was allegedly one of them it’s suddenly crickets. If he has nothing to hide, why won’t he answer a single question about it?”
