A Year Out from Midterms, DCCC Holds Dozens of Organizing Events in Battleground Districts Across the Country

The DCCC is on the ground and online, investing and engaging in early organizing in a Week of Action

Just under one year out from the 2022 midterm elections, the DCCC held an organizing Week of Action across the country in key battleground districts, meeting people where they are to host virtual phonebanks, voter registration drives, canvassing events and organizing strategy meetings. This Week of Action is part of the DCCC’s effort to protect and expand the House Majority by investing in early organizing, community engagement, and voter registration.

Earlier this year, the DCCC announced its largest, earliest-ever organizing investment in reaching battleground voters. Thanks to our seven-figure investment, DCCC began hiring more than 50 Organizing Directors and Constituency Organizing Directors across the map this spring who are already making inroads with voters in diverse communities key to maintaining our Democratic majority. Just this week, Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chair Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney announced the launch of DCCC’s Building Our Base Project, the earliest-ever investment House Democrats have made to persuade, engage, and mobilize voters of color and key constituencies. The project’s initial $30 million investment will work to hire local community organizers, launch targeted advertising campaigns aimed at nonwhite communities, as well as build voter protection and education programs.

With the help of these investments and engagement events, Democrats will protect and expand our House Majority in 2022!
