While Absent In District and Running From Voters, Nunes Hides Behind Keyboard, Podcast Mic And Early TV Ads

Launches $40,000 in Summer TV Ads to Tout His Podcast Encouraging Voters to “Logon and Join the Conversation”

As Politico reported overnight, absentee Congressman and full-time Trump defender, Rep. Devin Nunes, launched $40,000 worth of TV advertising over the summer of the off-year to tout his podcast, The Devin Nunes Podcast.

While Rep. Nunes is encouraging voters to “logon and join the conversation,” his voters can’t find him in district and Nunes is running from them. As was reported earlier this month, Nunes has plans for a June 28th fundraiser located outside of his district — in a location his campaign attempted to keep under wraps to thwart him meeting with voters from his district. Now, Nunes is running thousands in TV ads touting his podcast 17 months in advance of next year’s election.

“It is clear that Nunes’ being nonexistent in his district is a political liability and after winning his last election by the smallest margin yet, Nunes knows he’s ripe for defeat. This is exactly why Nunes is running thousands in TV ads 17 months before next year’s election,” said DCCC Spokesperson, Andy Orellana. “When Nunes isn’t getting ready in the greenroom for his next FOX News hit or avoiding his voters in the Valley, he is apparently hiding behind a mic and podcasting in studio. As the voters of CA-22 know full-well Nunes has forgotten the Central Valley and this is exactly why Democrats are organizing now to send him packing next November.”
