Last week, longtime Brownback advisor and Congressional candidate Amanda Adkins finally shared her plan if elected, going on KCUR to endorse a budget proposed by current Republicans in Congress earlier this year.
The full plan is 122 pages long, outlining several policies that would bankrupt Kansas farmers and ranchers—policies that Adkins says she “absolutely” supports.
Adkins’ New “Plan” Step Four: Bankrupt Kansas Farmers
-
Eliminate two critical risk management programs and cut crop insurance that Kansas farmers rely on, leaving them high and dry as extreme weather events become more frequent.
-
Gut popular conservation programs that help Kansas farmers and ranchers increase water and soil quality and protect the land for future generations.
“Amanda Adkins’ proposed ‘plan’ will gut resources that help Kansas farmers react to extreme weather events,” said DCCC Spokesperson Johanna Warshaw. “Adkins claims to support farmers, but her disastrous agenda will leave Kansas farmers and ranchers on their own when trouble strikes.”
