Late Sunday evening, Mariannette Miller-Meeks and House Republicans on the Energy & Commerce Committee unveiled their bill to cut Medicaid and take health care away from millions of Americans in order to fund trillions in tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy.
The text comes after Miller-Meeks has spent months lying to her constituents that she would not touch Medicaid as part of the Tax Scam.
A new report from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office found that at least 13.7 million more Americans would go uninsured if extreme House Republicans got their way.
DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“Enough with the empty rhetoric from so-called moderates like Mariannette Miller-Meeks. The latest bill makes it crystal clear: these extremists are targeting Medicaid, threatening essential health care and plotting to hike costs—all to bankroll massive tax handouts for billionaire donors like Elon Musk at the expense of middle-class families. The only question now is—will Miller-Meeks cave to the extremists and sell out her constituents yet again?”
