After casting a deciding vote to make cruel cuts to health care coverage for millions of Americans and take food off the tables of hungry children and seniors, Nick LaLota was caught dashing off to the Ritz-Carlton in Key Biscayne, Florida for a weekend reception with big donors and D.C. lobbyists.
LaLota has yet to meet with constituents after voting to gut Medicaid to fund trillions in tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy.
It seems LaLota is quickly following the NRCC’s advice to “stop holding in-person town halls amid a wave of angry backlash” over the GOP’s agenda.
When will he stop hiding?
DCCC Spokesperson Ellie Dougherty:
“House Republicans like Nick LaLota are refusing to meet with constituents after enacting the largest cut to Medicaid in American history. LaLota is either too scared or just doesn’t care.”
