Jefferson Van Drew acknowledged President Biden was duly elected after spreading QAnon’s “Big Lie” for weeks.
Just last month, Van Drew, who has been conning us all for quite some time now, petitioned the Supreme Court to overturn the 2020 election. Van Drew would later join the majority of the Republican caucus in voting to overturn the election. That vote came hours after a violent mob stormed the Capitol building in an attack that killed five individuals—including a police officer—two short weeks ago.
This stark departure from the views he carried just last week aren’t too surprising. Van Drew has a history of doing and saying whatever may get him through the current political climate.
“After spreading QAnon’s ‘Big Lie,” asking the Supreme Court to overturn the election, inciting a violent mob that stormed the United States House of Representatives and United States Senate killing five including a police officer, voting to disenfranchise millions of Americans attacking our democracy and refusing to hold Donald Trump accountable, Jefferson Van Drew is now, finally, admitting that President Biden was duly elected,” said DCCC Spokesperson Christine Bennett. “Van Drew’s failure to uphold his oath and reluctance to accept responsibility for the role he has played in undermining our democracy cannot be ignored. It will be his undoing in 2022.”
