Ahead of Debate, Amanda Adkins Doubles Down on Support for Plan to Ban Abortion Nationwide, Gut Social Security and Medicare, And Drive Up Prescription Drug Costs

Tonight, Congresswoman Sharice Davids and Amanda Adkins will take the debate stage in KS-03, and Adkins has already gotten a jump start on sharing her top priorities if elected: banning abortion nationwide,  gutting Social Security and Medicare, and driving up the cost of prescription drugs for seniors.

During an event with Pete Mundo, Adkins doubled down on her support for the Republican Study Committee and their extreme agenda, which includes 23 anti-abortion proposals that would ban abortion nationwide without exceptions for rape, incest, or health of the mother.

The GOP plan also would raise the retirement age to 69 and raise the eligibility age for Medicare, forcing over 2 million Kansans to work longer for their hard-earned benefits. It would cut $2.8 trillion from Medicare projections and halt prescription drug pricing reforms passed into law earlier this year.

DCCC Spokesperson Johanna Warshaw
“Whether it’s protecting abortion access or Kansans’ hard-earned benefits, Amanda Adkins has proven time and time again that she can’t be trusted. Adkins will have her own extremist agenda to thank when Kansans reject her at the ballot box in just 18 days.”
