| With a 100% voting record in lockstep with Donald Trump, Darrell Issa is fully embracing his role as an out-of-touch Trump loyalist.
He recently told the Washington Post that he’s a proud Trump backer…”I’m not going to run from my positions that often are the same as President Trump’s.”
He doubled down on his cheerleading in an interview ahead of the State of the Union:
“The state of the union is good and it is good because of the work [Trump] has done already.” He urged Trump to “take that vision and expand it,” and encouraged Trump to take a “victory lap” on his “remarkable” economic results.
He even compared Trump to 7-time World Series champion and inaugural Hall of Famer Babe Ruth… seriously: “[It’s] a little like when Babe Ruth points at the outfield and predicts that he’s going to score a home run.”
REMINDER: Issa is proudly standing behind the largest cuts to Medicaid in history. He owns the Trump economy, raising the cost of everything from groceries to health care. And he’s backing reckless tariffs that have been estimated to cost San Diego area households $2,400 per year.
