This week’s special election primary for Michigan’s 35th State Senate district saw higher turnout than Michigan’s last two special Senate elections – with Democratic turnout outpacing Republican turnout by over 40%.

• “Democrats had the advantage in total voters, with more than 26,600 votes,” while approximately “18,200 voters turned out on the Republican side.”
