Alaskans Hammer Nick Begich: Useless “Lapdog” Robbing Them of Their Health Care

In case you missed it, Alaskans are slamming Nick Begich for being entirely useless and supporting efforts to strip them of their health care in order to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.

Begich “did not respond to multiple interview requests and questions sent to his office this week about his position” on Medicaid cuts that would impact thousands of Alaskan families. While he’s too busy playing his role as “[Trump’s] lapdog” and straight up ghosting his constituents, Alaskans are speaking up and demanding answers.

Read it and weep, Begich:

Anchorage Daily News: As Alaska lawmakers ask Congress to protect existing federal health care programs, Begich remains noncommittal

  • Alaska’s lone U.S. House member, [Begich], has been supportive of a GOP plan to implement work requirements for Medicaid. That plan is expected to cause millions of Americans to lose access to the program…Begich did not respond to multiple interview requests and questions sent to his office this week about his position regarding the specific changes sought by congressional Republicans.

Anchorage Daily News: Letter: Begich needs to be standing up more for Alaskans

  • Not only is Rep. Nick Begich not working for his constituents, he is now also choosing to work against us…In his role as a lapdog to Trump, he has also chosen to remain mum on the effort to rob Medicare.

  • We should have a representative who spends his time on issues facing Alaskans, rather than working just to increase his chances of being reelected… We need our sole representative in Congress to stand up for Alaskans, rather than kowtow to a president who is cruelly and sloppily dismantling what used to make America good.

Anchorage Daily News: Letter: Still waiting to hear from Begich

  • If you expect a response from Rep. Nick Begich regarding an email or letter about an issue of concern, don’t hold your breath. During the last four months, I have written or emailed Begich about a number of important issues, including proposed significant budget cuts to Medicaid.

Anchorage Daily News: Letter: Progress in Washington? (WARNING: SARCASM)

  • Knowing Congress is hard at work doing business that will help Alaskans return to the greatness of yesteryear has me sleeping very well these days. Why just last week Nick Begich worked long hard hours and voted to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. Now that’s the kind of progress we deserve
