Access to safe, legal abortion in America took a devastating blow last night with POLITICO reporting on a leaked draft Supreme Court majority opinion that would strike down Roe v. Wade and open the door for 26 states to immediately move to ban the right to abortion. Republican Alek Skarlatos is complicit in this all-out assault on women’s freedoms.

Said ‘go for it’ on overturning Roe v. Wade, despite the fact 77% of the American people support keeping Roe in place

Proudly accepted the endorsement of the extremist group Oregon Right to Life, which opposes a woman’s right to abortion even in cases of rape or incest

Supports defunding Planned Parenthood, which thousands of Oregon women depend on for health care services.
Make no mistake – access to abortion is on the line this November and hinges on control of Congress. Just hours before the draft Supreme Court opinion was leaked, the Washington Post reported that congressional Republicans are working on a “push for a strict nationwide ban on the procedure if Republicans retake power in Washington.”
