As voters continue to reel from the roll back of 50 years of constitutionally protected reproductive rights, Amanda Adkins’ extreme anti-choice record is back in the spotlight.
The Kansas City Star reported on Adkins’ support for the Kansas constitutional amendment that paves the way for a statewide abortion ban with no exceptions, as well as her close ties to longtime anti-abortion advocate Sam Brownback.
REMINDER: As chair of the Kansas Republican Party, Adkins pushed for a plan to make abortion illegal, even in cases of rape and incest. She also backed plans to defund Planned Parenthood, which provides affordable health care, including birth control and cancer screenings, to tens of thousands of Kansans every year.
Despite KS-03 voters overwhelming support for safe, legal abortion, Adkins continues to try and stand between women and their private medical decisions.
