Amanda Adkins Stands with GOP as They Attack Kansans’ Fundamental Rights

Republicans vote against protecting access to contraception; same-sex and interracial marriage

Yesterday, 195 House Republicans voted against enshrining women’s and families’ right to access birth control into federal law. The legislation came in response to the Republican-stacked Supreme Court’s threat to revisit settled laws like the right to contraception, as well as same-sex and interracial marriage.

Unsurprisingly, Amanda Adkins has remained silent as her party continues its attack on Kansans’ fundamental rights – siding with extreme MAGA Republicans instead of Kansas families.

Adkins “didn’t respond to a request for comment” on whether she supports House-passed legislation to protect same-sex and interracial marriage.

DCCC Spokesperson Johanna Warshaw
“Republicans like Amanda Adkins want to put politicians in the middle of Kansans’ personal decisions – from how and when they choose to start a family to who they marry. She couldn’t be more out of step with voters in the Kansas Third.”
