Yesterday, Congressman Justin Amash was just one of FOUR members to vote against an anti-lynching bill, joining the likes of Louie Gohmert, who claimed that the Muslim Brotherhood had “influence” in the Obama administration, and Ted Yoho, who implied that the Civil Rights Act is unconstitutional.
“Congressman Amash’s wildly out of touch record now, shockingly, includes opposing an anti-lynching bill. And to make sure he reminded everyday Michiganders that he doesn’t share their values, Amash took his stand during Black History Month. His zealous and scary agenda will be his (and whomever the Republicans nominate in MI-03) downfall,” DCCC Spokesperson Courtney Rice.
