| Farmers across America are facing skyrocketing health care costs thanks to House Republicans’ refusal to extend the ACA tax credits that millions of families and small businesses rely on.
Thanks to House Republicans, nearly two million family-owned farms across the country face even tighter budgetary restrictions as they look to put food on the table for the American people.
Liz Krug, a farmer interviewed by MS NOW, said the ACA credits were essential to her family’s ability to get by: “This is how we make our income, and the ACA tax credits made that possible,” she said. “Community by community, we are feeding our nation… We have two kids. If we don’t have health insurance, it makes me very nervous.”
DCCC Spokesperson Liam Buckley:
“America’s farmers work tirelessly to feed our country and they deserve access to quality, affordable health care. House Republicans abandoned American farmers by killing the ACA tax credits, and voters will hold them accountable in the midterm elections.” |
