Ads in swing districts to expose Washington Republicans’ reckless embrace of the trade war that’s increasing costs for hardworking families
Today the DCCC announced a new ad campaign exposing Washington Republicans’ embrace of their party’s reckless trade war that’s raising costs for hardworking families across America.
With markets in flux and hardworking families worried about the fate of their pensions and retirement funds, study after study shows Americans are footing the bill for Trump’s trade war in the form of increased costs for everyday items – taking billions out of our economy.
These ads, launching as families do their back to school shopping, highlight products experts have indicated will go up in price as a result of Republicans’ reckless trade war.

“As kids head back to school in communities across the country their families are paying more for everything, from new shoes to the laptop they’ll do their homework on,” said DCCC Spokesperson Cole Leiter. “These ads will remind voters that it’s Washington Republicans who are playing games with our economy, while their recklessness costs hardworking families more.”
