Amish Shah will flip Arizona’s First Congressional District and help take back the House majority
Today, the DCCC announced that Amish Shah has been added to the committee’s highly competitive ‘Red to Blue’ program, signaling that the DCCC is invested in providing Shah, a top-tier candidate, with the support needed to continue building a winning campaign as he runs for Arizona’s First Congressional District.
“Amish Shah is the experienced and trusted advocate that Arizonans deserve. He’s focusing on protecting abortion rights and helping hardworking families make ends meet. David Schweikert has spent over a decade in Congress working against Arizona’s best interests, promoting a dangerous agenda to cut Social Security and Medicare benefits, and restricting abortion access. This November, Arizonans will reject Schweikert’s far-right extremism, elect Amish Shah, and flip this seat,” said DCCC Chair Rep. Suzan DelBene.
Amish Shah is an emergency room physician who will fight tooth and nail to lower the cost of health care and stand up to Big Pharma for price gouging life-saving drugs like insulin. He understands that politicians have no place in the middle of people’s private medical decisions, and he will ensure that women have the freedom to make decisions about their bodies. Shah, who has already represented key parts of Arizona’s First Congressional District in Maricopa County as a State Representative, has a track record of being an independent voice working across party lines to put Arizona families first.
