Late last night, the House passed the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act, following the racially-motivated mass shooting in Buffalo, New York. The legislation will set up offices specifically focused on tracking and analyzing domestic terrorist activity at the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, and the FBI with the goal of preventing devastating attacks, rather than just reacting after the fact.
Andrew Garbarino turned his back on New Yorkers and joined 202 other MAGA Republicans in the House to oppose legislation to prevent domestic terrorist attacks.
Why?
DCCC Spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre:
“Rather than work to honor and protect New Yorkers, Andrew Garbarino joined MAGA House Republicans in an indefensible vote to block efforts that would prevent mass shootings and acts of domestic terrorism.”
