| Despite electricity prices rising twice as fast as inflation this year, Andy Ogles voted to raise energy bills on hardworking Americans today.
House Republicans pushed through an extreme funding bill that slashes more than $100 million from Tennessee (the second highest amount in the country) for programs designed to lower utility bills for American families.
The program most hurt by Ogles’ and Republicans’ spending bill is the Weatherization Assistance Program, which reduces energy costs for families through energy efficiency.
REMINDER: Under Ogles’ Big, Ugly Law alone, Tennessee would see a spike of $188 in annual energy bills.
