Florida has over 69,000 active duty service members.
Yesterday, Anna Paulina Luna voted against the annual National Defense Authorization Act, opposing significant bipartisan investments into our nation’s military such as a pay raise for service members. Her vote is a slap in the face to the men and women in Florida who put their lives on the line for our security.
No thanks to Anna Paulina Luna, this year’s legislation:
-
Raises service member pay by 5.2%, the largest bump in 20 years.
-
Invests in child care, housing, and health care.
-
Bolsters education and child development for military families.
-
Improves readiness and spurs modernization efforts.
-
Invest in our allies and our relationships abroad.
With her vote, Anna Paulina Luna failed the military families and service members in FL-13.
DCCC Spokesperson Lauryn Fanguen:
“Anna Paulina Luna continues to show Floridians she is willing to play political games with their lives. She’s using support for our military families and service members as a bargaining chip for her extreme agenda. Floridians see right through Luna’s disgusting fixation on advancing MAGA demands at all costs, and will send Luna packing next year.”
