Anna Paulina Luna Doubles Down on ‘Default on America Act’

Luna’s ‘NO’ Vote Tonight Reinforces ‘Default on America Act’s’ Extreme Cuts that Hurt Working Families

This evening, Anna Paulina Luna doubled-down on her extreme vote to cut veterans’ benefits, funding for law enforcement agencies, and critical investments that keep working families safe, secure, and healthy. Luna is willing to push for these disastrous cuts and hold our economy hostage – triggering a job-killing recession and gutting Americans’ retirement savings – if she doesn’t get her way.

In fact, Luna even voted ‘No’ to considering legislation that would avoid a catastrophic default and harm America’s economy.

The DCCC will continue to hold Anna Paulina Luna accountable for continuing to push an extreme, out-of-touch agenda that hurts hardworking American families.

Last month, the DCCC detailed just how devastating these cuts would be to Florida and communities across the country.

DCCC spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre:
“Anna Paulina Luna has made crystal clear that she will always put her extreme agenda above investing in the needs of working families in her district. Whether it’s slashing veterans’ benefits or threatening hard-earned benefits that seniors have worked hard for, it’s clear that Anna Paulina Luna is too out-of-step and extreme to represent Florida any more.”
