| Recent bombshell new reporting revealed that Anna Paulina Luna’s husband held a 10% stake in a drone company awarded more than $37 million in taxpayer-funded federal contracts this year alone, and that Luna directly voted for legislation bankrolling the programs responsible for issuing those contracts.
Yesterday, Luna apparently felt compelled to respond – going to her right-wing media ally to faithfully report her take on the situation. Yet shortly after, the article was taken down, and with it any explanation of Luna’s actions:
REMINDER: Anna Paulina Luna has a growing record of self-enrichment and corruption:
- SIX-FIGURE OIL AND GAS INVESTMENT: Luna was caught enriching herself with holdings up to $500,000 off her donor’s oil and gas company, while sitting on the congressional committee responsible for overseeing similar interests at the time of the investment.
- PREDICTION MARKETS: Luna was caught allegedly sharing insider information with a donor for them to profit on prediction markets.
- BILLIONAIRE TAX BREAKS: Luna voted to give massive, permanent tax breaks to billionaires on the backs of Floridians’ health care and food assistance and voted to give more than $80 billion in tax breaks to data center companies that will jack up Floridians’ costs.
DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser:
“If Anna Paulina Luna wants to own up to the tens of millions in contracts awarded to a company her husband holds a stake in, she should probably make sure the report stays up long enough for people to read. Tampa Bay voters deserve an explanation about her corrupt behavior in Washington, and it appears they are still waiting. FL-13 voters will reject self-enriching, self-serving, lyin’ Luna in less than a week.”
