Anna Paulina Luna: “I Would Have Voted No” on the PACT Act

Florida’s 13th Congressional District has over 50,000 veterans

President Biden announced that more than one million PACT Act claims have been approved, benefiting more than 888,000 veterans across the country.

Had Anna Paulina Luna had her way, this would not have been possible. When asked about the PACT Act in a 2022 interview, Luna proudly declared, “If I was in Congress I would have voted no.”

The DCCC shared a video blasting Luna for bragging about her unapologetic views against veterans benefits.

The PACT Act:

  • Expanded access to critical care for veterans who were exposed to dangerous toxic chemicals like radiation, Agent Orange, Gulf War toxins, and burn pits during their service

  • Extended the period of time that post-9/11 combat veterans have to enroll in VA health care from five years to 10 years

  • Authorized 31 new VA medical and research centers

  • Streamlined veterans’ ability to access critical resources and care

DCCC Spokesperson Lauryn Fanguen:
“Anna Paulina Luna made it clear that she will not stand up for Florida veterans. Instead of supporting efforts to provide the men and women who served our country the resources that they’ve earned, Luna boldly said she’d vote against their best interest.”
