New analysis finds American families are spending hundreds of dollars more on their groceries with no relief in sight
Groceries keep on getting more expensive, straining already tight budgets for American families struggling to get by – but House Republicans can’t be bothered to do a thing about it.
A new analysis found that American families paid about $310 more for groceries under the first year of the Republican trifecta.
As the job market sputters and costs rise under Republican rule, it’s no wonder that a recent string of public polling shows the American public is turning against them and increasingly souring on their handling of costs and the economy. Recent polls reveal public support for Trump’s handling of the economy hitting all time lows, with nearly two-thirds of Americans saying there’s not enough being done to lower costs.
REMINDER: The DCCC has been holding House Republicans accountable all cycle for their broken promise to lower costs for American families with a series of digital ads across the House battlefield focusing on rising costs of groceries and other everyday expenses for American families such as school supplies.
DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton: “The American people cannot afford Donald Trump, House Republicans, and their disastrous agenda. Voters are fed up, and as their grocery bills go up and up, so do the odds that House Republicans will lose the majority in November.”
