Axios: “Trump has no shortage of Republican defenders in Congress.”
Anthony D’Esposito is a “defender” of presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s recent attacks on Jewish Americans during a time of heightened antisemitism.
Earlier this week, in an interview with Sebastian Gorka, a top Trump administration adviser who has ties to Nazi-linked organizations, Donald Trump said: “Any Jewish person that votes for Democrats hates their religion, they hate everything about Israel and should be ashamed of themselves.”
When asked about Trump’s comment, Anthony D’Esposito – who represents one of the largest Jewish constituencies in the country and who has alreadybent the knee in support of Trump – defended the Republican presidential nominee.
DCCC Spokesperson Ellie Dougherty:
“Anthony D’Esposito continues to refuse to condemn Trump’s vicious attacks on Jewish voters. D’Esposito is failing Nassau County communities by falling in line with Trump’s hateful and antisemitic rhetoric.”
