Just this week, D’Esposito endorsed Donald Trump, the leading architect of the disastrous Dobbs decision
Anthony D’Esposito and his extreme Republican compatriots are scrambling to save face following the Alabama Supreme Court decision to ban IVF by putting forth legislation that “doesn’t do anything to actually protect the procedure.”
D’Esposito’s empty support for IVF is a desperate attempt to cover up his dangerous record of restricting reproductive freedoms:
On the campaign trail, D’Esposito backed a national abortion ban – then tried to back down from his position just moments later.
D’Esposito supported the overturning of Roe v. Wade, which led to the decision we’re seeing in Alabama over IVF.
D’Esposito has voted for draconian federal anti-abortion legislation in Congress multiple times, including restricting reproductive care nationally for servicemembers and their families.
And of course, D’Esposito supported extremist Speaker Mike Johnson – who has co-sponsored a national abortion ban with no exceptions for rape, incest, or to save a woman’s life that would also prohibit IVF and common forms of birth control, and has pushed for 10 years of hard labor from doctors for providing abortion care.
Now, rather than signing onto a bill that *actually* protects IVF nationwide, D’Esposito is putting on a show to gain a few political points.
DCCC Spokesperson Ellie Dougherty:
“Anthony D’Esposito is bending over backwards to mislead voters on his deliberate and extreme anti-choice record. It couldn’t be more clear that D’Esposito wants politicians to decide if, how, and when Nassau women should start a family.”
