Anti-Choice Extremists in NH-01 GOP Primary Are Threat to Abortion Rights

Last night, NH-01 candidate Tim Baxter voted in favor of considering a New Hampshire House bill “similar to Texas’ abortion law” that would essentially prohibit abortion after six weeks.

Baxter and other GOP lawmakers also voted against repealing New Hampshire’s criminal penalties for doctors who perform abortions and providing an exception for pregnancies involving fatal fetal abnormalities.

The rest of this NH-01 GOP primary field has been clear where they stand on abortion.

Karoline Levitt is an anti-choice zealot, who has said abortion isn’t about reproductive rights or women’s health.

Gail Huff Brown supports states like Texas banning abortions and creating bounties on health care providers. She has proudly declared “I feel Roe v. Wade should be overturned.

Matt Mowers previously attacked a GOP primary opponent for supporting the right to an abortion in the first 8 weeks of pregnancy.

DCCC Spokesperson James Singer
“This Republican field wants to bring Texas-style attacks on abortion rights to New Hampshire.”
