| Marni von Wilpert is calling out Donald Trump’s callous remarks to “let [Iran] take out San Diego,” as a “small price to pay” for the war, as her opponent, MAGA Jim Desmond continues to express his support for a war that’s putting American lives at risk and raising prices at the pump to over $6 a gallon.
REMINDER: Desmond has supported Trump’s war every step of the way. He said the higher gas prices families are facing are “no pain, no gain” and “President Trump is right.” Doubling down on his support for the war, he said: “wars are messy.”

von Wilpert: It is…When I go door to door talking to voters, they talk about how they are worried about paying for their rent or their mortgage because they have to pay their gas tank bill… And beyond that, it is insulting to tell San Diego, which is home to over 115,000 active service members and 60,000 veterans, that we could be a target for nuclear attack by a foreign adversary.

And so that’s why I’m running not only to vote for the War Powers Resolution and end the war in Iran, but to make Congress an equal branch of government again.
