Following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, a 10-year-old rape victim was forced to travel from Ohio to Indiana to receive care because Ohio’s six-week “trigger ban” now bars women and children from accessing abortion – regardless of circumstances. Now in response, Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita – who previously endorsed Jennifer-Ruth Green’s congressional campaign – announced he’s investigating the doctor who helped the 10-year-old rape victim seek reproductive health care.
Make no mistake: Indiana is front and center in the fight for abortion rights – and Jennifer-Ruth Green stands with her extreme party leaders who are trying to take away Hoosiers’ freedoms.
Green supports a total ban on all abortions with no exceptions, even in cases of rape, incest, or danger to the life of the mother. She is “unashamedly and unapologetically” “100% pro-life” and has touted her support from far-right anti-choice groups including Indiana Right to Life and Susan B. Anthony List.
“Just weeks after Roe v. Wade was overturned, we’re already seeing the devastating human cost of Republicans’ agenda to criminalize abortion and deny people care – and Jennifer-Ruth Green stands in lock step with her radical party leaders in these efforts,” said DCCC spokesperson Elena Kuhn. “Green is an extremist who wants to take away reproductive freedoms with no exceptions, and she would be a disaster for Hoosiers in Congress.”
