Beef, beer, chicken, potato chips, soda, and American cheese all cost more today than they did when Republicans took control of the House. As for gas prices, Americans are paying $4.39/gal at the pump, making the once-affordable roadtrip a burden in itself.
Voters can now calculate how much the Republican House Majority is costing them when they go shopping this summer.
New data shows inflation rising to its highest level in three years, and up significantly from earlier this year. As everyday costs increase, Republicans’ hopes of holding the majority are all but evaporating.
The DCCC launched HouseRepublicanPriceHike.com as a tool for Americans to explore how much Republicans’ extreme agenda is costing them on everyday items at the grocery store. Users can add groceries to their cart and see just how much more they are paying at the register before sharing the receipt via text or social media.
