It’s no surprise Gabe Evans rushed to embrace anti-democracy, anti-abortion Speaker Mike Johnson. Colorado voters are still waiting to hear if Scott James will fall in line.
For those unfamiliar with Johnson’s extremism, Johnson co-sponsored a national abortion ban with no exceptions and was instrumental in the plan to overturn the 2020 election. The New York Times even named him “the most important architect of the Electoral College objections.”
After Evans and James embraced previous extreme speaker candidates, James must come clean on whether he will again side with Washington Republicans and endorse an anti-abortion extremist and election denier to lead the House of Representatives.

“Scott James and Gabe Evans showed their true colors after supporting the founding father of the far-right, Jim Jordan. It’s no surprise that Evans rushed to welcome Speaker Johnson, who’s simply Jim Jordan in a sports coat. From Johnson’s support for a nationwide abortion ban to his efforts to overturn the results of a free and fair election, Coloradans deserve to know if Scott James also endorses Johnson’s extreme agenda.”
