As Holiday Season Approaches, Michiganders Have Tom Barrett and Bill Huizenga To Thank for Higher Prices

Barrett and Huizenga unequivocally back tariffs raising costs
As Michigan families prepare for the holiday season, they’re being forced to grapple with higher prices and surprise fees due to cost-raising tariffs backed by Tom Barrett and Bill Huizenga. 

Michiganders risk facing “unexpected charges on merchandise and festive favorites.” A local business owner noted “prices of nearly everything on his shelves is creeping up” and “[point] to tariffs as the main culprit.” And Michiganders see this: polling has found that voters “fear that tariffs are to blame for higher costs” and expect a recession.

REMINDER: Barrett “defended Trump’s tariffs” and said he is “not ready to give up.” Huizenga said Trump’s chaotic tariffs are “for the positive” – even as Huizenga admitted Michiganders would face higher prices thanks to tariffs he backs.
