| As Michigan families prepare for the holiday season, they’re being forced to grapple with higher prices and surprise fees due to cost-raising tariffs.
Both Mike Bouchard Jr. and Robert Lulgjuraj have made it clear where they stand: with their DC party bosses, in support of these tariffs that are causing “unexpected charges on merchandise and festive favorites.” Michiganders are seeing this impact: voters “fear that tariffs are to blame for higher costs.”
Both Bouchard Jr. and Lulgjuraj have enthusiastically backed tariffs.
DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
“Whether it’s sticker shock while holiday gift shopping for their kids or buying groceries for their holiday dinners, Michiganders are feeling the squeeze of higher prices thanks to reckless tariffs supported by Mike Bouchard Jr. and Robert Lulgjuraj. Bouchard Jr. and Lulgjuraj are locked in a messy primary fight to secure their party bosses’ support and it’s clear they won’t put Michiganders first.”
